Bill 22: Public Sector Pay Disclosure Act

This bill applies exclusively to public sector organizations in Prince Edward Island — government departments, Crown corporations, health authorities, and similar entities listed under PEI's Financial Administration Act. Private businesses are not directly affected. Public body administrators and HR teams will need to compile and submit standardized position and pay range data to the Treasury Board Secretariat each year as part of the budget process. The burden falls on public-sector payroll and finance staff who manage classification systems and compensation frameworks, regardless of the size of the organization.
