We track Canadian federal and provincial law from the sources below. Each section says what we track and what we don’t. A provision is any numbered part of an Act or regulation: a section, subsection or paragraph. We don’t yet show provision text; to read it, open the source.
Federal Acts and regulations (consolidated)

We track
- The current wording of every Act, and of every regulation that has numbered sections, in English and French, down to the paragraph.
- For each provision, the date it came into force and the date it was last amended. Justice Laws’ records start on 31 December 2002, so a provision in force before then shows that date.
- Amendment history notes. Amending statutes from 2001 onward are linked; earlier ones are cited by chapter.
- New regulations and amendments to regulations as soon as they’re registered in the Canada Gazette, usually a few weeks before Justice Laws adds them to the consolidated text.
We don’t have
- Earlier wording from before September 23, 2026. From that date, we keep each provision’s previous wording when it changes.
Federal annual statutes

We track
- Every statute enacted from 2001 onward (2001, c. 3 to 2026, c. 22): title, citation, assent date, and the Acts and provisions each one amended.
We don’t have
- The text of annual statutes, or statutes enacted before 2001, which appear as citations only.
Federal bills

We track
- Every bill in the current session: status, full text, and English and French titles. For bills that received Royal Assent, a link to the statute they became.
We don’t have
- Bills from earlier sessions, including those that died when Parliament was prorogued or dissolved.
