Bill C-17: Appropriation Act No. 3, 2025-26

This bill primarily funds internal federal government operations and does not directly regulate private businesses. However, businesses across Canada may be indirectly affected through the programs and agencies funded, including those receiving contributions from regional economic development agencies (Atlantic Canada, Quebec, Northern and Southern Ontario, Western Canada, Pacific Canada), housing programs through CMHC, immigration processing, infrastructure spending, and defence procurement. Businesses that contract with or receive grants/contributions from federal departments — such as construction firms, IT service providers, defence contractors, and organizations delivering settlement or social services — may see new or continued funding flow from these appropriations.
